YMCA programs teach young people important values such as caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Through a variety of fun and rewarding activities, they also develop valuable skills while they gain confidence and self-esteem. You simply can't put a price on strengthening and enriching the character of a child.
There are many ways to help and your contribution helps make it happen…for all campers.
Your donation to our Annual Support Campaign helps us provide financial assistance to campers that cannot afford a Camp Sloane experience. Your donation also helps us to keep camp affordable for everyone.
The greatest compliment received by Camp Sloane is the referral of new campers by members of the "Camp Family" who have had positive and meaningful experiences with us. This group represents the overwhelming majority of each summer’s new campers. As a way to say thank you, for every camper that you send us who registers for resident camp earn $150 credit ($50 for a day camp registration). Just fill out the referral form and we will do the rest!
Camp is just more fun when your friends can attend. If you are having trouble telling your friends about Camp Sloane and you just can’t seem to put all that fun and excitement into words, then let us do it for you!
We are actively seeking camper families to host camp informational meetings at their homes. All you need to do is recruit some of your friends, bring them to your house and we’ll do the rest.
Can't find the time to host, but still want to be an ambassador? Host a Facebook Pop-up Party! Just invite your guests to a private Facebook group that we create and we will take it from there.
Call us at (860) 435-2557 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to set up a home visit or Facebook party.
There are multiple ways to become involved as a volunteer. Alumni volunteers will find a
meaningful and enjoyable role as a member of the Alumni Council, planning reunions and other important and fun events for alumni. The Board of Directors seeks individuals with a variety of expertise and interests to serve as policy volunteers. Program volunteers can become involved in summer or year-round activities. Contact us about volunteering email@example.com and register for our annual volunteer work weekend.
One of the greatest challenges in recent years has been to find qualified staff in adequate numbers. Counselors, Activity Directors, Village Directors and Registered Nurses continue to be needed throughout the camp season. Please contact the camp director if you have a staff referral, or direct them to contact her directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
"Others" — That’s the motto of Camp Sloane YMCA. A planned gift to the Camp Sloane YMCA endowment ensures that others can continue to enjoy the life-changing camp experience long into the future.
