This week we're introducing a few more of our Activity Heads for summer 2015 — these guys will be making sure the campers are having a great time in all their awesome activities!
Role at camp: Riflery Director
Number of years at camp: This is my 3rd year on staff.
Favourite camp chant: 'Sevens'
What you are most looking forward to this summer?: Seeing old friends and making new ones!
Role at camp: Performing Arts Director
Number of years at camp: 13
Favourite camp chant: Such a tough call! I spent many summers in Senior Girls as a camper and counselor, so I'm always really enthusiastic about "the S is for the Seniors" chant.
What you are most looking forward to this summer?: The Performing Arts camp musical is always my favorite part of summer! I'm also looking forward meeting all of the new campers and staff! Some of my favorite former campers are joining us on staff this year, so that's another big highlight for me!
Role at camp: Adventure Director
Number of years at camp: This will be my second year at camp.
Favourite camp food: My favorite camp food has got to be wraps!
What you are most looking forward to this summer?: I am most looking forward to see all those happy (familiar) faces again and being part of the greatest summer ever!
Role at camp: Waterski Director
Number of years at camp: 12 as a camper, 2 as a counselor and this year an activity head! So this will be my 15th summer!
Favourite camp song: Not sure what it’s is called but it goes “we all love camp Sloane, toot toot um toot toot, Nestled in the Berkshires at the bottom, C-A-M-P S-L-O-A-N-E , let’s give a cheer for Camp Sloane! Rah!"
What you are most looking forward to this summer?: I can’t wait for camp, it’s been 4 long years since I have been to back to one of the happiest places on earth. I’m so excited to apply my new found skills and experiences to my home away from home and make it the best summer yet. If I had to pick a specific thing that I am looking forward to, it’s going to be all of the campers who stand up on waterskis for the first time. Many people think teaching beginners is difficult and frustrating, but I love it. I love seeing the look of pure joy as they conquer their fears and learn that they can do anything if they put their mind to it!
